What is a Freedom Prayer from Trinity Palms Ministries? It is one of the many intercessory prayers forms our ministry offers to Christians. If you Googled Freedom Prayer, you may find a whole host of answers and ministries who offer something they are calling a Freedom Prayer. Here at TPM we offer Freedom Prayers for the purposes of deliverance. Many will ask deliverance from what? Isn’t deliverance only conducted in big tent meetings with very loud evangelists who intend for you to faint or feel sick? Nope! Our Freedom Prayers are an approach for Jesus to free Christians from demonic oppression or demonization without allowing the demonic. This process is for Christians who have an active relationship with Jesus [Luke 11:24-26]. It is only through Christ that we have His authority to expel oppression through confessing our sins, renouncing our partnership with the demonic, casting the oppression out, and sealing the open doors with the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit to fill the vacated places with himself [Ephesians 1:19-20, Luke 10:19].
We walk believers through a process the first binds all demonic oppressions so they may not interact with the person mentally, physically, spiritually, or emotionally. Under the authority in Christ, the demonic is bound so they may not “manifest” or cause the person to experience any external interactions with the demons during our session [Luke 10:17]. The reason demons have been allowed by God to interact or oppress Christins is the result of their sinful past, the sins of their ancestors or sins committed against them.
Some will ask, I’m saved by grace and faith in Christ, how can demons impact my life after becoming a Christ-follower? It is the unconfessed past sins, or ongoing sin patterns that create open doors in our lives for demons to take advantage of [Luke 11:20-22].
This is not a new process or way of thinking about oppression. From the birth of the Church, believers came to faith through grace were then either next baptized or deliverance was conducted or vis versa. All three steps were involved for the new believer: confession of faith in Jesus, baptism and deliverance.
Satan wants Western Christians to believe he and his demons are not active and we are not experiencing spiritual warfare or oppressions. The rest of the world has a very different view of spiritual warfare and understands the urgent need for deliverance and protection from demons.
